This video is about the trending sport of Tamil Nadu - Jallikattu! There was a ban on it and it had got people furious.
The event in question is the dangerous bull taming sport of Jallikattu which coincides with Pongal. Last year, the Supreme Court upheld a ban on this sport citing animal welfare issues and now that it is just about a week away, Jallikattu supporters have come out in support of the event demanding annulment of the ban.
Reacting to this, around 5 lakh supporters took to the streets and gathered at Marina Bay raising banners, posters and slogans demanding that they be allowed to hold their support. They argued that bulls are aggressive by nature and people do nothing to provoke them, this was equivalent to a mass movement by the public, yet it was a silent protest.
